Holy Week 2010

Various traditional services will be held in many of our Churches during Holy Week as we celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. They will no doubt be advertised in the local papers as well as at individual churches. CTIC news lists primarily services which are organised jointly by a group of churches – but I will post any information received.

Victim, no resurrection provocative artwork by Terry Duffy at St Ethelburga's 22/3 – 1/4
The intention is to trigger reflection and discussion on what it means to be a victim and how we can transform feelings of victimhood into a positive sense of identity. The visual impact of this in St Ethelburga's will be astonishing. They will keep the building open as much as possible during this time. There will be lunchtime reflections every day and a full programme of evening events.

This is the beginning of a process whereby this painting will visit areas of conflict around the world in a contemporary reworking of the Stations of the Cross. http://stethelburgas.org/civicrm/event/info?id=136&reset=1
