Christian Aid Week 13 - 19 May 2012
Let's give the tools to get people in poverty out of poverty.
Resources including worship, fund-raising, talks and activities for young people, quizzes, stories etc at www.caweek.org.
Many churches organise street collections or do other fund-raising activities at this time.

Circle the City will celebrate its 15th year in 2012. Join 500 other walkers at this friendly, fun, family walk around the churches of the city of London. City Guides will be on hand to provide interesting information about the churches, there'll be exhibitions about the work of Christian Aid at each church and jugglers, face painters and musicians will provide enjoyable entertainment for all ages.
This year The Christian Aid walk is part of the Pentecost Festival so promises to be bigger and better than ever.
There are 2 registration points each holding a short pre-walk service to get us motivated....
All Hallows by the Tower, Byward Street EC3 and St Mary le Bow, Cheapside EC2 will open for registration at 12.45pm.
The prayer service starts 1pm and the walk starts 1.15pm. The 6km walk takes 2-3 hours depending on how long you stop for refreshment and entertainment. Checkpoints close 5.30pm.
If you’d like to walk this year, please do register in advance at www.christianaid.org.uk/walks. After registering, you will receive a sponsorship pack through the post including sponsorship forms and helpful information to prepare for the walk and fundraise.
In addition, by registering in advance you will be on our pre-registered walker list. This means that on the day, you just have to visit the pre-registered walkers desk, have your name ticked off and then you’ll be able to start walking straight away (rather than filling in another registration form).
