JustShare Lecture Series: Christian Social and Political Thought Wednesdays 6-7pm The lectures are given by leaders in the field and provide a range of perspectives on what is meant by ‘justice,’ how the concept has been interpreted by social and political thinkers historically, and what it means - or should mean - in the City and wider society today. Professor Wilkinson explored why so many people in Britain today face so much unnecessary suffering and preventable early mortality from social exclusion, poverty, addiction, poor health & violence, in one of the richest, but most unequal, countries in the world.
